  • Furniture

    • We are mainly looking for essential items such as beds, dressers, sofas, kitchen tables and chairs. We may accept other items if a client has expressed a specific need.
    • We also accept essential household items such as flatware, dishes, cups, pots/pans, sheets, curtains, pillows, lamps, towels and blankets. No knick knacks please. We only take electronics such as a TV and VCR if there is a current need and if they are complete and in good working order.
    • We do not handle infant bedding and furniture. Please contact Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center in Cheshire, CT. They may be able to help you with these items. Their phone number is 203-271-2703 and their email is hopepcct@att.net .
    • We will pick up furniture, but the location must be within a 25 mile radius from our facility and usually must be for more than one item. Decisions about what furniture we will pick up are based on the condition of the furniture, our current supply, our storage capacity, the current need of a particular item and availability of volunteers. We cannot guarantee a speedy pick up of furniture(could be 2-4 weeks) and donors must be prepared to work within our constraints. We are working with a select group of families that are coming out of the homeless shelter at the present time and only deliver once a week.
    • If the donor is able, a conribution towards our gas expenses for the pickup would be greatly appreciated.
    • Please call (203)574-ACTS (2287) to coordinate your donation.

  • Please help us! - From time to time we will highlight a testimony of how God has helped a person through Acts 4. We may tell how needs have been met such as diapers or food or housewares. Or we may tell of additional needs for this person or family. People have good hearts and want to help that particular person with the food or money or other things. We do not have the staff to administer donations with designations for a particular person. We ask that you take our testimony or request as an example and know that there are many more with the same or similar need. We prayerfully ask that you will donate diapers, clothing, gift cards, etc. without a stipulation of who will get it and KNOW that God will direct each item to the person who needs it the most.
