- Established: 2002 by Leah McBride as a ministry of Christ Community Church, Cheshire, CT
- Biblical Mandate: Acts 4:32 “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they all shared everything they had.”
- Incorporated: June 2005, incorporated officially as Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. Obtained tax exempt 501(c)(3) status in March 2006.
- Ministries: Providing clothing, essential furniture and household goods, free of charge, to low-income individuals and families in need.
- Facility: 150 East Aurora Street, Waterbury, CT 06708.

This facility is used to receive and sort clothes and to provide a place for clients to “shop” for their clothing needs.
- Volunteers: Acts 4 is a 100% volunteer driven organization and as of 2006 has over 50 volunteers who assist in the ministry.
- Board: Board of Directors and By-laws established 2005.
Events that we sponsor or take part in to give away clothing
- CityFest – Mission Greater Waterbury’s annual summer festival held in Library Park. Churches and numerous services agencies all participate. We bring clothes for all ages and draw the biggest crowds. Cityfest website
- Back to School Rally – We help provide school uniforms to families and pass out many outfits at this event.
- WOW Giveaway – our annual giveaway held in the WOW Community Learning Center and promoted to that community through the area schools/parent liaisons.
- Riverbank Church has an annual Labor Day Outreach barbeque to their neighbors. They serve up hotdogs, fun and clothes. We provide the clothes.
